You need to place the goblets on the gold rings on the shelves. Once the goblets are placed a hidden panel will open revealing half of a copper medallion.

Take the medallion half and back up. There is a mysterious box on the bed. If you click on the dresser on the right a drawer opens to a hidden object scene. Click on the box on the bed for a close up. Use the small key you just got from the hidden object scene to unlock the box. Now back up seven times until you are at the front lawn. Go right to the carriage house, right to the path, then forward to town.

Back up from Momma Aimee's shop, go forward to the tavern, then go inside the tavern through the front door. During the course of the conversation, the bartender will give you a key to the cellar and ask you to fix the toilet. Remember, Lamont is out due to his "goiter". On the far wall to the right is a poster.

Click on it to reveal an interesting area of the wall. Click on the area for a close up. Pull up the paper from your inventory and place it on the wall.

Then use the charcoal on the paper. When you are done you will have a pattern that looks like the puzzle on the fountain in the front lawn of the mansion.

The drawing will go into your Detective's casebook. Note: this puzzle pattern changes from game to game. Here's a list of employee phone numbers. You want Lamont's number. Note: Lamont's number changes each time you play, so write it down. Once the phone is in close up use a coin from your coin purse and then dial Lamont's number.

He will give you precise directions for fixing the toilet. Now follow Lamont's instructions exactly: flush 4 times, then plunge 3 times, then flush 5 times. Back up twice to the front of the tavern, then go in the front door and click on the bartender to talk to her again.

There are gas pumps up front, and an unlocked door around the right side of the building. Click on the unlocked door to open it. Back up once to the main town view, then forward to the tavern, then forward to the side of the tavern. Once you are at the shack you will notice that the mysterious guy is gone.

Go left to the side of the shack. Here you will find a third sunken cannon. You can also see the mysterious stranger lurking in the background. In close up you will see notches in the tree. Use the chainsaw in this area until the tree collapses into the shack. To use the chainsaw click and hold as the chainsaw works. On the floor is a wallet. Click on the wallet for a close up, click again to open it, then click again to pull out the IDs.

Use the glass from your inventory on the door. Move it around until you can hear clearly or you can see the subtitles on the screen come into sharp focus. Keep moving the glass around until you hear all of these bits of information. Once you hear about the computer password you get a new objective: Log into the computer.

Once the screen is in close up, click on the screen to stop the screensaver, then enter the password. You need to arrange the coins in the circles around the fountain to match the pattern you found in the basement of the tavern.

There should be a picture of the pattern in your Detective's Handbook. Every time you play the game the pattern changes. Coins can move from circle to circle one spot by using the lever on the right side. It only affects coins in that center row. Each solution is unique so experiment with moving the coins around until you can reproduce the pattern. This is a slider puzzle that is done in rows and columns. The columns can move as a whole from left to right, the rows as a whole can move from right to left.

The easiest way to start the puzzle is to find a face and move the columns until the face is complete. Close down the close up, then go back to the couch, forward to the stairs, and right to the music room. Then move the symbol you want at the top to the far left column. Once it is in place then move the column back up.

Keep doing that from column to column until the entire top row is the same symbol and they are all back at the top. Once you have the top row set it's pretty easy, moving back and forth and up and down, to complete the next two rows. Once all of the symbols are in place, the piano will open up and you will start on part 2 of the puzzle.

Click on the piano for a close up and now you will see inside. There are knobs on the strings, each with different numbers. Back up from the close up and now click on the piano keys. You will see some numbers here as well. Go back to the interior of the piano and pop the buttons back up. Now go back and do each key number. Remember after pushing the buttons inside the piano to go back to the keys and flip the switches after each one.

At the top of the stairs, to the left of the balcony doors, is another picture. Click on it for a close up. Pieces can move in or out. Two pieces in the center can separate to the outer columns, and two pieces in the outer columns can be brought together in the center. Once the portrait is in close up use the scissors from your inventory on it 3 times to cut the canvas.

You may also notice that the pieces around the edge are close-ups of certain portions of the map. For instance, the left side pieces match six different areas on the map. And each of those areas have a Roman Numeral. If you are having trouble matching the areas, you can click on the map for a closer close up, and drag the map around to help match the areas. Note: these number and symbol combinations change with each game, so this walkthrough cannot just give you the answers. Find the Roman Numerals associated with the left side symbol, the top symbol, and the right symbol.

There will be six numbers for each. Now, using the three buttons at the bottom, enter the six Roman Numerals associated with that side of the map.

If you are working with the left or right side, put in the numbers from top to bottom. If you are working with the top pieces, go from left to right. To enter the number III, for instance, click on the I button three times. Each time you put in a complete number one of the smaller buttons in the middle will depress. Once you are in the boat, click on the sunken cannon, check the symbol, and enter the numbers from the map just like you did with the previous cannon.

When you have the skulls, back up three times to the intersection, then go to the right towards the swamp path. Here on the swamp path is the last cannon. Repeat the steps to open the cannon and take the four skulls. Go to the side of the house, forward to the graveyard gate, forward to Cooter's mailbox, forward to the porch, then inside Cooter's house.

Pull up the metal detector from your inventory and start hovering it over the dirt of the yard. When the light on the detector turns green, then click. When you click, the shovel will fly into your hands. Click several times in the same spot to dig a hole. Click to get the shovel, click several times to dig the hole, then click on the hole and get the copper coin. Back up to the long view of the carriage house, then go right to the path and forward to the town.

Click and pull the chains underneath the coins quickly until a gold spot appears in the circle around the coins. The chains will try to slide back up, so click and pull quickly. Once you see where the gold spot appears, rotate the coin so that the arrow is pointing to the gold spot.

Once you let go of the chain to rotate the coin, the gold spot will disappear, so remember where it was. Once all four coins are in place the central skull will open up, revealing a half medallion. Take the half medallion. Go forward to the mansion, go into the mansion, go left to the dining room, right to the kitchen, then forward to the pantry.

Look for the page that recorded the mysterious paper found in the locked trunk underneath the mausoleum. This paper shows how to place the skulls on the slab. This solution appears to change from game to game.

Posted by: grinnyp November 29, PM. Using "Pippi" as password for the pc before using the regular password! Card will appear on the mantlepiece. Posted by: Mantari December 13, PM. Well, ok, that "Drawn" games were kinda nice, too, but that's that. I just wish MCF didn't start going the "live video" route.

Sure, the live scenes' corniness is somewhat enjoyable but they almost completely ruin the mood No link til tomorrow, I guess.

On Big Fish it says it comes out tomorrow, but today for game club members. For the rest, wait until tomorrow for some fun! Lots of perks, no downsides at all.

Not to be rude but I feel like since BigFish games started Collectors' Edition BigFish games distributes people's games business-style that's why Samorost 2 is there despite being Flash-made , people started making too many Collectors' Edition games, but that's just my opinion.

What a shame! Hi Kostia. But since this is such an anticipated release, we wanted to cover it now so you'd know if it was worth the wait! Personally, I think it is, but I also think it's worth the Collector's Edition price even without the extra content.

It's a quality issue for me, and with a game that looks and plays like this, I have no issue with paying fourteen dollars for it. But if you don't agree, keep your eyes peeled for the standard edition! Would you happen to know the difference between this Collector's Edition and the regular one, like morphing gizmos or an extra chapter? I loved it on "Madame Fate". Nice try with the live acting but it was boring and they didnt tell you anythink new. You now what to search for picture and it is almost boring Who cares for that???

The story is slowly developing! Too many characters I'm really stuck at one point, and the in-game walkthrough isn't any help at all, I think it may be a bug in the game. I am at the part in the graveyard, through the gate, through the wall, and by the locked trapdoor with the cabinet full of goblets. I got the cabinet opened, but my objective didn't change to "Search for the missing goblets around the tomb and the manor. Also, I noticed that in the in-game walkthrough, it shows that early on in the game, the cellar by the bar could be opened, but it tells of nowhere to find the key!

I don't know if this has anything to do with my aforementioned problem, but I thought I'd just toss it out there. Please help me with this problem because I can't progress in the game any further and I really don't want to start over! Investigated the walls near the trapdoor? There should be a code lock there. I think you have to get the trapdoor open before you can find the goblets.

Is the lock you're talking about the lock on the cabinet? The one with the 4 weird symbols that you find in the fountain? That's the only combination lock I can find down there, and I've already got it figured out. When I click on the trapdoor itself it says that "The trap door is tightly secured to some kind of spring mechanism.

I have no idea what to do next. Do you? I'm having the same problem as Allie, after i open the lock on the cabinet, the game objective just says "find a way to open the trapdoor" and i can't pick the missing goblet.

So i guess i'm stuck. The inability to pick up the goblets is apparently a known technical bug in the game. You need to contact Big Fish Technical support and they should be able to help you.

For the goblet issue, you should already see an update notification on your gameclient. Click it to download the game new, but do not deinstall the game before.

The update will not overwrite your current status, to de- and reinstall will. I have the same problem with this game I had with the otherwise lovely "Mystery Legends: Phantom of the Opera", in that the Collector's edition, rather than having treats and additional content, feels like it's the only way to get a satisfactory conclusion to the story line!

The additional chapter is actually the end of the game which, I assume, is deleted in the normal retail version, leaving the player feeling a bit cheated. Hi, I am having a problem getting into the little girls room.

I have the key but it won't work, keeps telling me to try it somewhere else. Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I am so stuck now and can't do anything else until I talk to the little girl.

Are you using the key directly on the keyhole? Not the tip of the key, but the center of the key? Yes, I tried it in any position but I keep getting a message saying that it goes somewhere else and when I click on the hint button to see what to do next, the hint tells me to search for the key even though I got the key where I was told to find it.

I only have the one key from the vase outside the bedroom that the maid is in. It was the only key I could find in the upstairs halls. Help please - I have completed the puzzle in the jewelry box in Magnolia's room - but the box doesn't open. I have checked over and over for something I have missed, but the picture looks the same as the screenshot you have. I have checked to make sure all the borders are correct as well.

Any thoughts? I was so excited to see a new MCF game that I did not mind paying for the collector's edition but I am pretty disappointed Kind of a let down compared to Dire Grove and the real acting is sooooo cheesy!!!

Help ma bob, I really enjoyed playing this game but despite checking the walkthrough I'm stuck at the coffin on the wall. Hitting it with the hammer several times has no effect. Please help. I'm having trouble with the coffin on the wall, it won't open however many times I hit it with the hammer. The rest of the game is great! The video clips were annoying and tedious, and the gameplay itself was boring and pointless. I stopped playing shortly after the little girl sent me on some pointless errand, and I will not return.

I hope their next game returns to what made so many of their previous games so brilliant. Bottom view of table Left side: 5, 3 Right side: 1, 9 from the bottom up. Top view of table Left side: 2, 4, 8, 7, 10, 13 Right side: 12, 11, 6 from the bottom up. MCF 13th Skull Last Rites; I went back thru the entire game prior to placing the skulls in the correct places and found a few additional hidden object scenes I found the pick to chip away the ice in the bait shop, but I also acquired a can opener What do I do with it??

Also, how do I unlock the bonus game It's still chained up? I have finished this game twice Collector's Edition ; and the second time I watched the end credits. This was after playing the additional chapter with the pirate ships and treasure. At the very end of the credits, there is an additional clue. Written backwards it says 'Plunge The Sink'.

I assume this is some fun extra part of the game, or Easter Egg. There are also some musical notes above this clue which spell out BAG. I have no idea what that refers to. The problem is, once you finish the game completely it won't let you go back into the game except as starting over at the beginning even using Same Player mode. So I couldn't go back to use the plunger on the sink, without playing through almost the entire game a 3rd time which I really don't care to do or have time for.

You can't get the plunger until you fix the toilet, which is well into the game. Also, the extra clue may not be triggered until that point in the game. Does anyone else know what happens when you use the plunger on the sink before finishing the game?

If I had know, I would have used the plunger on the sink before finishing the game to see what happens. The can opener will open a can on a shelf in the room with the trap door where you put the goblets in the cabinet. That is to find one of the gold crown insignias there are 10 in the game which is an extra quest. If you use the plunger on the sink you get one of the 10 hidden gold crown insignias in the game.

Finding all 10 is one of the achievements. Unlike the regular crown insignias, you have to perform an action to find the 10 hidden gold ones. In this case, use the plunger on the sink before you use it to fix the toilet. Once you use it on the toilet it goes away. This may be a technical glitch in the game. Have you tried contacting Big Fish's technical support? Thanks for the information! I did go through the game a 3rd time just to see what the plunger did, and to check out those extra hidden object scenes the other person mentioned.

But I goofed. After I got the plunger, I should have gone directly to the kitchen sink but I used it on the toilet first, thinking I could do the sink after that. I forgot that you lose the plunger in the bathroom. So I never got to see that, it's a relief knowing what happens when you do plunge the sink.

Also-I did go back through the entire game before putting all 13 skulls on the alligator nest, and found one additional Hidden Object scene in the alley past the tomb in the secret passage to the Carriage House.

This Hidden Object puzzle gave me the ice pick, which I was able to use on the bait chest in the Service Station and retrieve a Gold Insignia card. But I searched everywhere, and could not find any other Hidden Object scenes in the game. When I finished the game and went to play the additional chapter, before I went onto the Pirate Ship I walked back through the entire game again searching for Hidden Object scenes, but again there were none.

The person here mentioned a can opener, but I never found a second HO scene. So other than the ice pick and sink, I would have no idea how to retrieve the other 8 Gold Insignia cards. There were simply no other Hidden Object scenes that I could find, and I searched thoroughly.

Well, after finding the can opener for the 3rd time, I still cannot find the can that opens with the can opener I need a list to find these hidden insignias or I will never complete the game.. Someone please help!! I would like to ask how can I find the password to open the door on the ship. I tried to climb on the crown's nest but I couldn't do it. Help me please. Hope this helps someone. Still haven't found them all tho' so I'm about to start for a third time!

I cannot remember for the life of me where I found the first hidden insignia.. But I finally found the can the can opener opens, which makes 3 that I have found Any help on this one?

Guys if you read my posts please list the places you found your insignias since there is not an official list yet Just a thought. I would love to get to the bonus game I liked what I got from the demo so far.

The intro looked fluid, the lighting and shadows were spot on and it didn't look green-screened like FMV games tend to.

I do have a problem with so many "Collector's edition" games coming out lately. From Thanksgiving to Dec. Don't collector's editions need to be rare or something? Where are the regular versions?? Maybe they think they'll make more money by only offering the expensive versions, but they're cheating themselves out of MY cash by doing so!

I the highest grade account with them, and I've been forbidden from buying the expensive versions. And I'd buy it too. In a heartbeat. I called up my mom the day I saw the ad on JiG just to tell her! Alright, so far I've compiled a list of places people say the golden insignias are hidden. I've only found 1 myself and I can't for the life of me remember where it was or what I did to get it.

I seem to remember it being outside by the weird fish fountain. When you say in the journal, what do you mean? In your case files? Or is there a journal you find in the game?

In the case journal on the page with Momma Aimee, is where I found my last insignia Move to the Kitchen. Zoom into the garbage disposal in the sink. Talk to Mary Lee; exhaust all conversation possibilities to obtain the next objective.

Go into the Voodoo Shop A. Talk to Momma Aimee behind the counter and exhaust all conversation possibilities C. Return to the Carriage House Path. Head left towards the Swamp Entrance.

Place MR. To obtain Mr. Crickets from Charlotte after you give her the Doll. Move forward towards the Swamp. Inspect the old cannon on the right J. Move right towards the Swamp Path. Inspect the second cannon and remove the debris from it K.

Head left towards the Swamp Clearing. Exit the nest and click down twice, move left towards the Swamp Shack and you will encounter a Stranger. Talk to the Stranger and exhaust all conversation possibilities M. Move left towards the Shack Side. Note the inflatable boat in the water. Return to the Voodoo Shop. Inspect the shelf in front of Momma Aimee O. Keep talking to Momma Aimee and exhaust all conversation choices. Speak with Mrs.

Lawson and exhaust all conversation. Go to the Front Yard. Speak with Lewis and exhaust all conversation choices. Move to the Side of the Manor. Inspect the Bench; note the symbols on the bench Q. In order to do so, the weeds must be cut on order of the ones that grow back the slowest. Cut the purple weeds first, cut the white ones next, and the orange ones last.

You need to find the keys to open the gate in the Graveyard. The solution for that puzzle can be found in Chapter 3 of this guide. The solution for that puzzle can be found in Chapter 4 of this guide. Inspect the blue box in the upper left. Go to the Foyer. Inspect the Painting on the left side of the wall. Note the symbols and the positions in each corner of the frame.

Inspect the Fountain T. Look at the symbols U etched into the fountain; they will be noted in your case report. Head left towards the Graveyard Path. Inspect the Gate V. Place the keys in the keyholes using the symbols found in the frame inside the Mansion.

Regardless of what the symbols look like on the keyholes, place the KEY found in the upper left corner of the frame into the keyhole in the upper left. The same goes for all the other corners. Once the keys are in the correct keyholes, rotate each KEY by clicking on the key so it matches the rotation of the symbols found in the corners of the painting frame that you noted earlier.

Once all the keys are in place and rotated correctly to match the rotation of the symbols on the painting frame, the gate will automatically open. Go into the Graveyard. Move forward to the Mausoleum once inside the Graveyard.

Zoom into the lantern in the upper left B. Inspect the water-filled coffin on the right. Drag all the items aside in each corner to reveal 4 bolts. Inspect the drained coffin again. Remove the cover to reveal a lot of numbers. You need to enter 4 different dates into the contraption by pressing on the numbers on the cover. The dates are unique to your game, so make sure to enter dates that refer to your game only.

The birth date can be found on the fax machine in the den A. The date the Mansion was rebuilt is entered into the case report after the rats have been taken out of the cellar B. The date of the Fire will be entered into the case report after you unlock the chest in the Attic C.

The date of death is in front of the Mausoleum D. In my case the dates were , , , and Go through the gates into the Down Passage. Click on two letters to swap their positions. Inspect the chest to find a parchment with Roman Numerals 2. Go through the back wall. Zoom into the skeleton that falls out of the coffin. Move forward to the Down Tunnel. Inspect the hutch. Using the symbols you found in the fountain after you added the bottle of chlorine enter them into the door 6.

Click on the hutch to receive a new objective for finding the goblets. Return to the Hutch below the trap door. Inspect the Hutch. Climb the stairs to enter the Carriage House. Move to the Bedroom on the right. Inspect the dresser in the lower right to trigger a search scene. Inspect the bed. Talk to Momma Aimee and exhaust all conversation options. She mentions that Lamont usually fixes the bathroom. Go to the Side of the Tavern. Go down into the cellar. Click on the poster in the back wall to remove it.

Zoom into the wall to reveal a barely-visible pattern 5. Rub the CHALK over the rubbing paper to reveal the pattern; it will be entered into your case report. Note the chainsaw 6 in need of gas on the counter. Go up to the Tavern Office. Click down to go to the Hallway. To scroll through your inventory, simply click on the arrows on the left and right of the box.

Hidden Object Areas: Since the objects are random, the only ones circled will be items that are placed in your inventory. Be careful not to click randomly on the hidden object scenes as you will be penalized and leaves will appear stopping your gameplay for a few seconds. It's a good idea to talk to everyone in the game until you have exhausted all conversations.

Sometimes you can't proceed through the game until something is revealed in conversation.
