You will have to Extract them from the cd. Now, if that does not take care of it, then I guess try setting the Workstation service to Manual. Boot up, and manually start Workstation, to see if it will start up. I had a friend with Win2K and Exchange 5. When he set the Workstation service to Manual start, then he was ok. He would boot his server, start Workstation, then start Exchange and all was well.
We never did fix the root cause of his problem, though! My last comment on this is that a lot of references to Workstation service involved the Computer Browser service. If nothing else works, try setting Computer Browser to Manual and see if Workstation will work when set to Automatic.
Look at MaintainServerList. Make sure it is set to NO so the XP machine is not a browser server. Good luck on this! This did not help either, This is very much investigated and thought out, did not help.
